SINGING TEACHER

Similar to the surroundings in which I'm based, my singing studio in the South Lakes offers an oasis of calm where clients can come to explore their voices in a safe and inviting environment. My clients range from 8 to 80 years of age and each decade brings something quite special and unique. Clients attend for a variety of reasons; children just starting out on their vocal journey, older children needing to further their vocal technique whilst preparing for auditions and adults who want to explore their personal vocal achievement. My passion is to work with you by exploring your voice and then, with strategic guidance, help you in finding your voice whilst giving you the support and guidance you require. 

I continue to enjoy working on the concert platform and directing choirs. However, teaching in my studio is my happy place. I love nothing more than sharing my experiences of the last 31 years and my knowledge gained by my continuing extensive training, with you, the client.​

VOCAL PROCESS REGISTERED TEACHER

You don't need any qualifications to call yourself a singing teacher...
...nor, in fact, do you need any experience as a singer or even any knowledge of how to sing, so it is essential that you choose your singing teacher carefully.

​I am a graduate of the Trinity College of Music (London) and also a registered teacher for Vocal Process, an organisation known worldwide for its excellence in the teaching and training of singing teachers and singers alike. There are very few teachers who get asked to participate in their accreditation programme, let alone become registered teachers, and so you can be assured of the quality of tuition that you will get from me at the Tracie Penwarden Singing Studios.​

My 31 year's experience coupled with the intensive training received from Vocal Process have equipped me with an in-depth knowledge of all genres from Musical Theatre through to Opera with the skills needed to impart that knowledge no matter where you wish to let your singing take you.
