I'll be providing fun and interactive singing and music sessions for babies and toddlers and sessions will include songs, rhymes, stories and puppets. This will take place every Wednesday morning at the Tracie Penwarden Singing Studios at 7 Main Street , Milnthorpe. Sessions are priced at £6 as follows: 9.30 - 10.30 Babies 3-12 months 10.45 - 11.45 Toddlers 12-24 months 12.00 - 1.00 Pre-schoolers 24-48 months As well as play and interaction for the children there will also be opportunity for parents to socialise with a brew! ![]() I've had a fabulous time this week delivering a workshop to a bunch of delightful singers. Their reasons for attending were varied, some wanted to improve their skills, some wanted to try singing in a group and others were just looking for a bit more confidence but all thoroughly enjoyed performing in front of their friends and family at the end. Well done all and I'll certainly be repeating the course in the future. Many thanks to Rigney Bank Ballet School for making me so welcome yesterday. Everybody had a great time at their Frozen Workshop and I've never heard 'Let It Go' sung with such enthusiasm!
Today I'm off to East Witton in Wallace and Gromit country to sing the Nelson Mass and Faure Requiem and I'm also looking forward to the Penwarden Music singing workshops at the beginning of August. I thought term was over...! I don't normally post results online but I'm feeling a bit smug about these! Congratulations to you all.
Tiana - Grade 1 Singing - 124 Merit Imogen - Grade 5 Singing - 114 Pass Christine - Grade 6 Singing - 125 Merit... Faye - Grade 6 Singing - 134 Distinction Alexandra Grade 8 Singing - 141 Distinction Another hectic week - it's taken me until today to catch up with myself! Last weekend was spent flying around the county either singing or watching singers.
I have to congratulate Sarah Hicks for her amazing portrayal of Evita at the Lancaster Grand; it was a fabulous show. I also have to congratulate Jolyon Dodgson for a splendid Carmina Burana at Lanercost Priory on Sunday evening. It was a lovely occasion and everybody performed brilliantly (though I do say so myself!). Since then I've been teaching pretty much non-stop only pausing to join The Milli for their end of season barbecue. Oh, and the small matter of accompanying my ABRSM examination candidates on Tuesday! Good luck to all those involved. Another fab singing weekend but this time with my conductor's hat on. On Saturday evening the lovely Millie Youth Choir were performing for charity in Burneside and on Sunday my gorgeous ladies, OttoVoce, performed at a Garden Party in Heversham. Everybody sang beautifully and are to be congratulated as all of their hard work obviously paid off.
![]() I've had the most fantastic musical weekend! On Saturday evening I sang the role of Galatea with the lovely Arnside Choral Society and on Sunday evening you would have found me cheering Elton John as he played in our little village of Milnthorpe! |
